Blur an image online — soften a busy background for a dreamy out-of-focus look, or hide a face, a license plate or private details before you share. PIXLFLW works entirely in your browser: your photo is blurred locally and never uploaded to a server.

What you can do

  • Adjustable radius — from a subtle softening to a heavy frosted-glass blur.
  • Blur a background — give portraits and product shots a smooth, out-of-focus backdrop.
  • Censor private data — obscure faces, plates, documents or screens in a screenshot.
  • Combine with crop — crop to the area you want to hide, then blur, in one pipeline.

How to blur a photo

  1. Drop an image into the upload area (formats: GIF, JPG, BMP, PNG, WEBP, HEIC, TIFF).
  2. Set the blur strength with the radius slider.
  3. Download the blurred image as JPG or PNG.

How much image blur do you need?

A small radius (a few pixels) reads as a soft focus and keeps the subject recognizable. A large radius flattens shapes into color — that is what you want when the point is to hide something. If you are blurring to protect information, check the result at full size before downloading: a light blur on small text can still be legible.

Note: the blur applies to the whole frame, not to a selected region — to hide one detail, crop to it first, or use the pixelate tool for a mosaic look.

Privacy note: because processing is local, blurring sensitive screenshots with PIXLFLW is safer than with upload-based tools — the original never leaves your device.
