iPhones save photos as HEIC — great for storage, but Windows tools, older software, and many websites still refuse to open it. PIXLFLW converts HEIC to JPG in your browser: the photo is decoded and re-encoded locally, so conversion is fast, free, unlimited — and your pictures are never uploaded anywhere.

Why convert HEIC to JPG here

  • No upload — unlike most converters, files never leave your device. Personal photos stay personal.
  • Full quality — decode at original resolution and control JPG quality on export.
  • No limits — no file count caps, no size caps beyond your browser's memory, no watermarks.
  • Edit while converting — crop, resize or rotate the photo in the same pipeline before saving as JPG.

How to convert HEIC to JPG

  1. Drop your .heic photo into the upload area above.
  2. The editor opens it instantly — edit if you want, or do nothing.
  3. Click Download and choose JPG (or PNG). Done.

Also works with HEIF and other formats: GIF, JPG, BMP, PNG, WEBP, HEIC, TIFF.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

01Why won’t my HEIC photos open on Windows?

HEIC is Apple’s default photo format and Windows needs paid codecs to open it. Converting to JPG makes the photo compatible with virtually every app, site and device.

02Does converting HEIC to JPG lose quality?

The photo is decoded at full resolution and you control the JPG quality on export. At quality 90%+ the difference is invisible in normal use.

03Is there a limit on how many photos I can convert?

No limits and no watermarks — convert as many photos as you like, one at a time, each up to 20 MB.

04Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. PIXLFLW runs entirely in your browser: images are opened, edited and exported locally on your device and are never uploaded, stored or seen by anyone.
