02What is the standard passport size photo dimension?

35 × 45 mm (3.5 × 4.5 cm) is the international standard, used by more than 80 countries including the UK, India, Australia and the Schengen area — 413 × 531 pixels at 300 dpi. The United States, the Philippines, Pakistan and Bangladesh use a 2 × 2 inch square instead, which is 600 × 600 pixels. Canada (50 × 70 mm), Malaysia (35 × 50 mm) and China (33 × 48 mm) each have their own.

03Can I turn a normal photo into a passport size photo?

Yes. A phone photo is the wrong shape, so it has to be cropped to the document frame rather than stretched into it — the locked ratio here makes that impossible to get wrong, and the resize afterwards guarantees the exact pixel size the portal wants.

04Can this change the background to white?
